The Vasa is the world's only surviving ship from the 17th century. More than 95 percent of the ship has been preserved, and decorated with hundreds of carved images Vasa is a unique art treasure, and one of the main tourist attractions in the world.
The ship is on display in a purpose built museum, which also houses a nine-related exhibits, a well-stocked shop and a fine restaurant. The film about the Vasa is seen in sixteen languages. The Vasa museum attracts more visitors than any other museum in Scandinavia. Vasa alone is worth a visit to Stockholm.
