The Bruges Town Hall from 1376 is one of the oldest in the Netherlands. From here, the city of Bruges governed for more than seven hundred years. The Gothic Hall, with its magnificent 19th-century wall paintings and polychrome ceiling, is a masterpiece in itself. The painted figures tell you more about the glorious past of Bruges. Under the theme "Citizens and governance follow the power struggle between the city council, the princes and the people of Bruges.
