Information
On 21 September 1905 the town of Osterode am Harz opened her first 'town museum' in a room of a building on the old schoolyard.
The collection, founded by the city architect William Neuse is more than 100 years old.
In April 1910 the collection moved from the rear of the schoolhouse, to the city library.
The collection consists of more than 7,000 works that indicate both the history of the city culture and the history of the church culture.
A beautiful collection that is worth a visit and tells a lot about the history of our neighbors.
