Located on the west bank of the Scharmützelsee, the campsite is a particularly attractive place for tourists and 'short-term campers.

Just 5 km away is the famous thermal bath in the spa town of Bad Saarow at the northeastern end of the lake, and at the southern end at the same distance is the village of Wendisch Rietz.

The Märkisches as "sea" famous lake is 11 kilometers long and 2 to 3 km wide, is the largest of all the lakes in Brandenburg and leave an unforgettable impression on only saw it once.

With boats, sailboats, motorboats and canoes sailing in all directions it has the connection to the Storkower and many other lakes, rivers and canals. Ideally, the "Märkische sea" for surfers and swimmers, and of course for the fishermen.

The site has moorings for boats, a restaurant and a shop. It lies in the middle of an extensive pine forest with many hiking and biking trails. Not far away, in the direction Fürstenwalde Rauenschen lie the mountains with the largest boulders in northern Germany.

Just 2 km away from the camp is a modern golf course, horse riding and there are tennis facilities.

Cultural events in the nearby towns can be visited. Located just 50 km from Berlin, 8 km from Fürstenwalde, the campsite by car, train or bus or on the water from all directions at your fingertips.

The campsite is open all year. Especially in the winter you can experience nature with all its beauties.

The former traditional "Neptune Beach" is available for all guests since 2007 as an open bathing area available.
