Madagascar is now a great country to visit for a holiday. The island, which lies east of the African continent, is the fourth largest island in the world. Only Greenland, New Guinea and Borneo are larger. For comparison: Madagascar is slightly larger than France.

Other known animals that live only on Madagascar are the Madagascardaggekko's, a genus of brightly colored lizards and chameleons and for the fossa or fretkat, the largest native predator.

A famous tree comes from Madagascar that now grows worldwide and lives in the tropics, the flamboyant. Also known houseplant dracaena marginata is originally from Madagascar.

In total, 5% of the global flora and fauna can be found on Madagascar. When you travel to Madagascar you will be amazed by the beauty of the island and its friendly people.
