Information
The Aachen Cathedral is one of the most famous examples of occidental architecture. It is the church where more than 30 German kings were crowned, the burial place of Charlemagne, an important pilgrimage church and since 1930 Cathedral of the Diocese of Aachen.
The Dom was in 1978 the first German building of UNESCO that obtained the status of particular cultural heritage. Therefore, if you are visiting Aachen, you should not miss a tour of this cathedral, especially when you are a lover of historical buildings and churches.
