The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Treminou (or: Our Lady Chapel Treminou) is a masterpiece of municipal assets, nestled in a wooded country.
The building dates from the thirteenth century, was first restored in the fourteenth and then in the sixteenth century. From this century there is also the Gothic glassware.
The roof was redone in 1964. The pulpit is crowned by an ancient cross. Entering a few images of the XVI-XVII century.
Treminou in 1675 was a hotbed of revolt of the "Red Caps".
The fountain is 500 meters to the south. To the west, 150 meters from the chapel, in a bank, is a pillar from the Iron Age, the evidence of the former Celtic cult.
Thanks to the strong voluntary association "Friends of the Chapel of Our Lady of Treminou" is the chapel open during the months of July, August and to the Heritage Days in September, daily from 14:30 to 18:00.
Free admission.
Definitely worth a visit.
