Would you like to camp in tranquility, stay in an authentic French cottage or maybe spend a night in a cupboard bed?
You can, in the Corrèze-Limousin, on the borderline between Southern and Central France, about 400 kilometers from Paris. Our authentic, mainly self supporting farm (known from the French movie "La Fille de L'aube") is the place to experience the pure, healthy and unspoiled French living.
The farm (founded around 1900) encloses 7 acres of pasture and woodlands, where you can read, sleep, think, not-think, have a look at our farm animals, go for a stroll past the creek and some Limousin cattle and (do make a reservation) enjoy our traditional French kitchen, made from local and mostly home grown ingredients.
Nearby, you can hike, bicycle, swim or canoe, fish or visit cities like Pompadour (center of horse riding), Limoges, Brive, Périgueux or Uzerche. Or you could make a daytrip to the Dordogne, with all its sceneries and interesting towns;
We also invite you to attend a workshop with sculptor and stone carver Pia Moorrees, where you can work with aerated concrete, alabaster or soapstone. An enjoyable day with a 'concrete' result! For other sculpting or stone carving activities or if you want to visit her exposition, we invite you to surf to "Le Bourliataud".
The pure and unaffected atmosphere, the old-time hospitality ... These are the ingredients for wonderful relaxed times spend at "Le Domaine Vert".
